November 07 Tally

Going in to November was rough. I knew we would be traveling a lot and that writing would stress and hinder me. I did manage to work out a couple times on vacation, which was great. So I’m taking what I could get. I liked that even without working out every day, I didn’t lose all my progress. It shows me I’ve cleared another hurdle.

Final stats on the Calendar of Fitness:

  1. I alternated between running and weights 15 out of 30 days this month. Tolerable.
  2. I have pushed myself with new routines and found new ways to avoid bad food in settings that make it hardest to do so.
  3. I’ve let my running go a little, substituting other cardio activities. I also purchased some weights, a resistance band, and a balance ball, since I missed having these things at home. I think it’s worth the investment.

If you go to a gym that has Life Fitness machines, I’d suggest trying this one. It’s for the ladies, and at my gym most shy away from it because they are copying men and don’t see men on it. It has done miracles for my problem area, where the butt and thigh meet. It works!
Another great thing about San Diego is our friends. They meet up for exercise more than for happy hour. One friend went out swimming over the weekend, saw a half marathon, and just decided to do it. We’ve done hiking and MK’s all active gearing up for snorkeling and scuba.

Good luck through the holidays to everyone trying to stay fit!

  1. Good luck to you too. Personally, I have decided to simply embrace the festive time of year and eat until I explode. I will probably regret this come January…..but then again, maybe I won’t. 🙂

  2. Or that. One could do that. I like how you come over to MY blog and try to make me jealous of how much face stuffing fun you’re going to have!!! 🙂
Kidding! I’m sure the kids keep you busiest this time of year and that helps.

Some Start A Conversation! Do it! I dare you!
