Doorless Pantry

Do I have to hide my pantry? I don’t think so, not as long as I keep it clean.

And especially when this is what I’m working with:

So we ripped the lame plastic fake wood doors down. I painted the trim and the inside support beams. And I like it. This color is my current favorite, I also painted both our railings/banisters with it (the dark grey/blue) and keep looking for what else we can use it on.

So yes, you see my cookbooks and the tons of coffee we drink, but I don’t mind.

I need floor mats/dish rags/oven mitt type accessories that match that color, keep an eye out for me.

  1. Nah, doesn’t work for me. A pantry is where you throw all your munchies and preserves and unused appliances, etc. No one wants to see that!

  2. Craig – we are thinking in the future to blow the wall out and have a hole that looks in to the living room, and moving the fridge too. So leaving it like this will hopefully be temporary and I can deal with that.

  3. It’s a good thing you’re so skinny and don’t require lots of food in the house at any one time. 🙂 I’ve never seen such a pretty (empty) pantry.
