New Adventures

These pictures are all at the Seattle Art Museum Olympia Sculpture Park, 9 acres by the water of running trails and crazy art that we explored today.

Then we went to the Hiram Chittenden Locks and Botanical Gardens. Watching the locks in action was amazing. The boat by itself is in the small lock, which puts a boat through in 8 minutes. In the large lock, they cramp all the boats in at once and get them through. You can walk all around the water, stand on the locks, and there’s even a salmon run there to see too.

More oysters!

For those of you curious, it’s only really rained one day since we’ve gotten here, and that was yesterday. It was wet for about two hours then cleared up. We were actually able to go out and made some new friends that we’re looking forward to exploring the city with.

  1. You know, we went back and the fountain changes – the water covers the child and there’s a grown man reaching out where the water is in this picture. I’m not sure how I feel about it…
